Istanbul Leather and Leather Products (IDMIB) is one of the most important and symbolic organizations of the Turkish leather and leather products industry. Istanbul has an important share in the Turkish leather trade and IDMIB has an indispensable role in the leather industry.

Founded in 1988, IDMIB is one of the four exporters' associations operating under the General Secretariat of Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters' Associations.

IDMIB has more than 2,000 registered member companies mostly located in and around Istanbul. More than half of the exports of the Turkish leather and leather products sector, which has an export volume of approximately 1.7 billion dollars, are made by IDMIB members. Therefore, IDMIB is an organization that largely represents the Turkish leather and leather products industry.

The primary goal of IDMIB is to increase the export capacity of Turkey's leather and leather products and to promote the Turkish leather industry worldwide. To this end, IDMIB supports its members in all areas and activities related to trade. In addition, it follows the common interests of the sector before the government on national and international platforms.
