Istanbul Leather and Leather Products Exporters' Association plans to play a role in supporting Goal 15 by prioritizing sustainable raw material sources, supporting the protection of forests and advocating responsible land use practices in the leather and leather products industry. IDMIB will contribute to the conservation and sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems by ensuring that raw materials are obtained from sustainable sources, promoting the protection of forests and other terrestrial ecosystems, and minimizing the impact of leather and leather products production on biodiversity.

1. Sustainable sourcing of raw materials: It will promote sustainable sourcing practices among its members regarding materials used in production. It may include promoting the use of certified or responsibly sourced materials and supporting initiatives that promote sustainable farming and forestry practices.
2. Conservation of forests: It can advocate the protection of forests, which are vital to biodiversity and provide important raw materials for the leather industry. It can include supporting initiatives that combat deforestation and promote sustainable forest management practices.
3. Conservation of biodiversity: It will promote the conservation of biodiversity by minimizing the impact of leather and leather products production on ecosystems and wildlife. It can include adopting sustainable production practices that reduce habitat destruction, supporting initiatives that protect endangered species, and raising awareness about the importance of protecting biodiversity.
